AT&T delays Galaxy S24 One UI 7 rollout
AT&T has somewhat of a reputation for slow firmware updates, and One UI 7 is no exception. The update reached Verizon and T-Mobile users last week, and while Samsung briefly paused the global rollout due to bugs, it has already resumed it for multiple markets. AT&T, however, hadn’t pushed the update even before that pause happened.Frustrated Galaxy S24 users on AT&T have taken to Reddit and other platforms to figure out when they can expect the update. With no official communication from the carrier, many are worried this delay could stretch into the end of April—or even beyond.
This is especially frustrating given how long it took Samsung to finalize One UI 7 in the first place. The update was originally unveiled alongside the Galaxy S25 series in January and officially launched on February 7, with U.S. rollout for the S24 family starting only on April 10.

One UI 7 is based on Android 15 and represents one of the most refined iterations of Samsung’s custom interface to date. Alongside improved performance and smoother animations, the update includes a redesigned camera app UI, expanded folder functionality, split notification and quick settings panels, and enhanced widget customization. The camera app in particular has been simplified to focus more on photography and have less clutter. Users also get the ability to expand folders, with smoother transitions, and a new lock screen “Now bar” for persistent notifications.
The update also brings redesigned system icons, upgraded animations that rival iOS in smoothness, and deeper customization options across the home screen and lock screen interfaces. It even introduces a more intelligent Quick Panel layout and a revamped app switcher UI.
And that’s just the base update. Samsung also announced that Galaxy S24 owners would receive exclusive camera features that came with the S25 series such as Audio Eraser, Motion Photo, and Log video recording.
Will this delay affect other devices?
The Galaxy S24 series is just the start. Samsung has confirmed that other flagship devices—such as the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series—will receive the One UI 7 update in the coming weeks.
If AT&T is already lagging behind with the S24, there’s a good chance the rollout won’t be quick for other eligible models on its network.
